Yes. You can drive via Nata and use the highways or go offroad via Savute. Look here for campsites: …webs.com/campsitesaccomodations.htm

yes there are two routes , tar roads (recomended) and through the reserve,

If you are going through the reserve bare in mind that its the rainy season, would be wises to travel with other vehicles and make sure you have all the recoery gear for getting you unstuck(must know how to use it aswell), it will be very wet and muddy and you are garenteed that you will get stuck more than once.

The averag drive time from Kasane to savuti in dry season (+/-140 km) is about 3-4 hours

The drive time for the same distance in wet season can take up to 10 hours depending on how many times you get stuck in he mud

freinds took 16 hours from Khwai north gate to savuti this last wet season.

If you are traveling alone I recomend you take the tar road .

If you go through the reserves , you will have the adventure of your life , you will never forget it ( but I think while you are doing it you will curse yourself for getting you into this mess)

good luck

Storm
