Roads getting there

One of us gets pretty sick on twisty roads and if above 7000 ft for very long. What are the roads like from Raton into Taos and also the road south to connect to I-40 to go east.

One cannot avoid a certain amount of twisty river valley roadways... Suck it up & drive the 64 into Taos... Then the 518 into Las Vegas NM. Perhaps the companion might consider medicating a bit ... carracar

If you're coming from Colorado, avoid US 64 if one gets carsick. Beautiful windy road is one of the most scenic in the entire state.
