Is there a good place, either in Taos or Sante Fe, for Mother's Day brunch?
In Taos, brunch is served at El Monte Sagrado's de la Tierra restaurant and at Graham's Grille. Each one of those would be a good place on Mother's Day. El Monte's fare tends to be a little bit "higher end" and more expensive -- $49 per person.
I went a few years ago to El Monte Sagrado for brunch and thought it was terrible, average food and not well organized. Long wait for table, crowds, unattractive dining room which was an empty hall they opened for the day.
In Santa Fe some good brunch choices are Bishop's Lodge and Eldorado. I prefer BL. If you want to go a bit farther, a very good place is Tamaya in Bernalillo (it's north of Albuquerque, about 25 min. south of Santa Fe).
Thank you for your recommendation of Tamaya. We had a fantastic Mother's Day brunch, and it was a beautiful location.
Good to hear it. I love Tamaya!
