what to do when in Tao for a day?

Me and my buds planned on going to Taos for 1 day coming from Angel Fire and we were wondering what all can you do you Taos? Meaning if there are any bars, clubs, shops/malls? If the drive will be worthwhile from Angel Fire to Taos...

thanks in advance

Bars yes, probably not too many clubs. Shops yes and no malls.

Taos is a small town, not much big city stuff. There are some nice places to eat and have a few drinks. Eske's Brew Pub, Doc Marten's and/or Adobe Bar at the Old Taos Inn, Sagebrush Inn and Ogelvie's are a few I know of off the top of my head.

I personally would not drive from Taos to Angel Fire at night when less than 100% sober. I am no angel, but this is a winding mountain road that has ice and snow on it all winter. People do die on this road a few times a year.

In the meantime, just look up Taos on Trip Advisor. There is significantly more to do in Taos than in Angel Fire on Angel Fire's best day.
