It depends on how long you have the driver for, how far you travel (fuel used) etc but if you work on 450,000IDR a day you will be well and truly covered, I think.

Just make sure that if you are haggling for a driver, you:

check out the car for comfort, air con, radio (if this is important, but with 6 women probably redundant.LOL)

that his price includes for petrol, parking, tolls etc. They have been known to try to hit up for these things at the end of the day.

That he will take you where you want to go, not to his "friends" businesses where he gets a commission on anything you buy.

Have fun.

drivers costs do vary. (this topic comes up often). you can either hire a guy off the street and there are hundreds of them or pre book a recommended driver from the list of recommended drivers. costs will be between approx 350,000 to 550,000rp per day. this is a guide for you. remember IF you are going a long distance expect the higher end of the scale. if you are doing less milage but still hiring for a full day a driver is more likely to accept 350,000. they will try to get more when you ask for a price lol. just walk along the street and ask a few guys. look at their cars / vans and make your decision. there are heaps of vans that will comfortably seat all your group.

As for the spas , they are all around you , cheap ones and more expensive ones .

the melasti beach resort has a really nice spa , but more exspensive than a lot of the smaller places .

Just near your hotel ( on padma st )there is one with a purple entry way which, once through the door you need to climb steps ( sorry i can't think of the name of it ) but they were pretty good and reasonably priced and there are quite a few in sahadewa st as well . Don't go to the green one , Ambience , i think it was called , the massages are good , but don't go for anything else , they are very young and inexperienced and charge the earth for this inexperience !

Opposit the lokha hotel ( also padma st ) there is like a booking agency , very small office , he has cars and drivers , cars are nice with aircon , very reasonable prices .
