Few questions regarding staying at the Samaya

We are thinking about staying at the Samaya next year for my big 50, but would like to ask a few questions before we make our final decision:

1. Are the resturants and bars within walking distance?

2. Does the hotel have its own private beach?

3. Are there sun lounges on the beach?

4. Are there any supermarkets near the hotel.

5. Are all the villa's private?

And last but not least, if the hotel as good as it sounds and looks.

Hope I can answer a few of your questions, the closest restaurants are La Lucciola, Sate Bali and Ku-De-Ta which are all pretty good, it's a longer walk into JL Oberoi maybe 15 minutes where you'll find lots of restaurants and the closest mini market, there is also a 7-11 on Oberoi. The nearest bigger supermarket is Bintang in Legian which is a cab ride. JL petitenget is a 15-20 minute walk and there are some good restaurants there also. Breeze, the Samaya's restaurant is great, one of the best for views and food and so is the Oberoi hotel's restaurant, both expensive though. There is no private beach, but the beach is not so busy on this stretch except for joggers and walkers. The loungers are overlooking the beach but on the hotel grounds, but they will move them onto the sand if that's what you want. The villas are close but private. It's a very good property.

Hope you enjoy the big 5-O

There's a mini mart just past the Sanyas Suites on Jl Petitinget - that's about a 10 minute walk ENE.

Hope this helps.
