We are a couple in our 50s. Should we go to Atlantic city or wildwood crest
Where you should go depends upon your interests. Do you want beach and ocean or more? Get a free AC visitor's guide here:
My vote would be for wildwood crest in September!
What do you like to do?
Do you gamble? If yes, then AC would be a good choice.
Yes, there is more to AC then gambling, but you can't avoid the fact that the town is built around it.
If going for the beach, WWC hands down wins.
You can bike ride, sunset watch, explore.
And only 15 minutes from Cape May, which in the fall is absolutely glorious.
My choice without a doubt would be WWC.
Actually, there's plenty to do in Atlantic City besides gambling with 24/7 dining and drinking, in and out of the casinos.
The free beaches in Atlantic City are great this summer—busy but not overcrowded, and with both indoor & outdoor beach bars. Many bike ride every day along the world famous Boardwalk. The 3rd tallest lighthouse in the USA is in AC, and open for climbers.
The new Observation Wheel is open on the Steel Pier
And you can tour the largest musical instrument in the world.
And concerts along the Boardwalk, some even free.
And art galleries and museums.
Enjoy whichever you choose!
Just came back from Wildwood crest . The beaches & ocean are clean it’s a quite town great places to eat ,and watch the sunset . You can drive over to Cape May for a day for shopping and touring. Stay away from Wildwood boardwalk cheesy, junk food a family trap . But if u want to gamble then go to Atlantic City .
And the Tanger shopping Outlets are a big year around popular attraction in Atlantic City.

I neverbeen to wildwood
Wildwood has the boardwalk, bars/pubs and a busy atmosphere. Oh, and it has a beach.
Wildwood Crest is all about the beach. Quiet, peaceful. Very, very residential. Some small restaurants, northern most part walkable to Wildwood boardwalk. Dry town-no alcohol served in restaurants. No liquor stores, but you can bring in your own. Promenade for bike riding.
Most people have no idea where Wildwood ends and Wildwood Crest begins, so most don’t even realize there are no liquor stores or bars.
