Part of this was answered on your previous post on the Wildwood forum
You can bring alcohol to your hotel-no one will search your car.
Alcohol is prohibited on the beach- not sure how tightly this is enforced
No restaurants have liquor licenses, but you can BYOB
The Adventurer is right at the border to Wildwood. Nice place in a good location.
You can bring alcohol to the Crest, it just isn't sold there. Alcohol is prohibited on the beach in both Wildwood and the Crest.
Not sure if your hotel does, but some do restrict consumption of alcohol on the pool deck. Of course what you do in your room is of no interest to anyone.
If most of your activities are to the north in Wildwood, you will not even notice the alcohol restriction.
Yes you can take alcoholic beverages on the beach and to the hotel. I suggest Mulligan's Liquors on Park, or going to the Crest Tavern which is actually a little cheaper! Both provide a variety of beer, wines, and liquors. We have been going to to Wildwood Crest for ten years any other questions let me know! ENJOY!!!! BTW a late night jem is the MONSTER CONE ICE CREAM TRUCK! Best ice cream in Wildwood!!
Ignore V5574's response. He may be going for 10 years, but what he does illegally doesn't matter if you're the one that's caught.
The very first item on Wildwood Crest's website is Alcoholic Beverages are prohibited: http://wildwoodcrest.org/beachregs.htm . Again, maybe enforcement is laxed, but there's no guarantees. If you do bring alcohol to the beach, be very discrete about it.
If you want to drink alcohol on the beach please stay away from the Wildwoods. Thanks
Mix your beverage and put in thermos. no one is going to check a red solo cup filled with "lemonade". you take your chances openly drinking beer and wine on the beach. Not a great idea anyway, but an afternoon drink is mighty pleasant on any beach- just not truly legal!
I have spent many a summer in Wildwood, on the beach and on the boardwalk. Wildwood is full of punks from south philly whose only goal is to get drunk and sunburnt. They are obnoxious and in your face and ruin many a nice time at the shore. The borough rules say no alcoholic beverages on the beach. period. Putting booze into another container and drinking does not exempt you from citation or arrest. By the time the police encounter a drinker, they are usually out of control which brought them to the attention of the police in the first place.
Usually discarding the alcoholic beverage will end the matter with a lecture. But many jerks have to have the last word and usually end up getting locked up. Both young men and women are equally obnoxious when they are drinking. Some of us like to play on the beach, hide under a beach umbrella on a sunny day, enjoy the ocean and have some food and avoid sloppy drunks. So if you are a commenter here, don't be telling people its okay to drink booze on the beach.Edited: 9:20 am, June 01, 2018
