Shark alert

I heard from a few folks that this past week lifeguards were keeping swimmers in shallow water because there were many shark sightings. Can anyone confirm?

I understand there has been a run of sandbar (brown) sharks along many of the beaches. some surf fishermen are reporting 20 -40 lb class fish some have landed 80 -100 lb class. mostly an evening bite , fish with fresh bunker. you can't keep these, you have to release them. As jacques cousteau said, if you are in the ocean you are never more than a 1/4 mile from something that could eat you, but most sharks prefer bunker
