Immigration at Newark

We will be flying in to Newark from Mexico and will need to go through immigration before getting on our connecting flight to CT. Will 2 hours give us enough time to go through immigration, recheck our bags and board our next flight? And, is there any restaurants/counters where we can pick up something to eat before we get on board? Thanks

No. We are flying United from Mexico to Newark to Bradley... I could care less if the luggage makes the flight as long as we do, they can deliver it the next ay or whenever, lol.

You might actually clear customs in Mexico

Flying 'home' from Mexico, Newark will be our first stop where Immigration is processed; in the past we have had a longer layover and time was not a problem... just wondering if we will make it through immigration, rechecking luggage and boarding within a 2 hour time frame.

Since you are not switching airlines, the chances are that you will have time. But, it really all depends on how many other planes are coming in at that time. Last time I flew into Newark the wait time at immigration was very short, but at other times, it's been very long. It is hard to predict.

What about food on the run to our connection... is there a 'Fridays' with prepared food ready to go or fast food close to the gates? We usually connect in Dallas and know are way around, first time connecting in Newark; even a map would be helpful if available.

I don't know about the food situation, sorry. Also, be aware that not all United international flights arrive at Terminal C...some come into terminal B.

Its my understanding that 'all' United international flights arrive at Terminal C... does each Terminal have its own immigration area? Terminal C preferred over B?

United can arrive at either c or b depending on CBP
