Caoasters? The Attitash Mountain Coaster looks like fun. But not really an amusement park roller coaster with heart stopping drops and turns. You probably won't find that in The Whites. Try Canobie Lake Park, in Windham, NH http://www.canobie.com/. That is all the way south on I-93, near the Mass. border.

Also, for a great water park, Water Country in Portsmouth, NH. http://www.watercountry.com/

Check out the ZipRider at Wildcat Mountain http://www.skiwildcat.com/ziprider.html and also Monkey Trunks http://www.monkeytrunks.com/ in Chocorua, just south of Conway.

Be sure to check age, height, weight requirements on the websites of any recommended spots, to avoid disappointments. As mentioned above, the coasters at Attitash or Cranmore are not heart stopping thrill rides like you would see in an amusement part. Look at the pics on the websites for more details.

We have a 12 year-old and an 8 year-old. They loved the ropes course- with ziplines- and other parts of Cranmore. It was new last summer, I believe. There is a "mountain coaster" and summer tubing as well as a new -kind-of-zipline ride (only know this part from the website, haven't been there yet this summer).

I agree that Diana's Baths is a great place to go. The hike is easy if you want it to be and more challenging if you want to climb along the rocks. She is probably too old for Storyland.

When looking at any of the ropes courses and ziplines, check out the height and weight charts. There are many places where the smaller kids can't fully participate. At Cranmore my younger one could do the two lower levels on the ropes course, which was enough for her. There was an older girl there who was old enough for the next level, but didn't weigh enough.

Have fun!
