Boardwalk

I've only driven through Hampton Beach and I am looking for a little getaway that would be on the Boardwalk so I am close to restaurants and bars. Where exactly is that located in Hampton? I am trying to locate a hotel that will be right in the middle of it all. Also, is the beach easily accessible if I were to stay on or right near the Boardwalk? Thank you in advance for your help!

Look at Ashworth By The Sea. Nice hotel, right in the middle of everything. Easy beach access.

The actual 'where it's at' section of Hampton beach which I'm guessing you would refer to as the boardwalk is designated by lettered streets with A street being at the Northern end. The Ashworth is slightly North of A street with a wonderful sandy beach right across the street. The arcade section of the beach runs from A street South past the Casino (the performing venue hall across from a public performing venue) to about F street. From there to about N street is a combo of mainly hotels, restaurants, etc. There is a nice beach right across the street from the whole 'boardwalk'. The state just completely remodeled basically all of the beach side of the main road. There are bathrooms at the N end, in the middle across from the Casino & about g street at state facilities. Can't give any advice on where to stay as I live just a few miles North of there. I would suggest looking at a map of Hampton Beach to see what hotels (check them out by a search) are near what you want to see/do. Here's a link to a great map but you need to know address in order for it to be helpful. Don't know if there a map showing all the motels, etc on line. Enjoy. Oh yeah-make sure parking is available where you stay as it's very scarce there in the Summer & you don't want to get a ticket-big $.

CC-Glad to be of assistance. I forgot to include the link to the map but it was just from a Google map that you can download yourself. There are also hotels on some of the side streets that are less than a block from the main street. FYI-the main beachfront street is one way heading to the North. There is a one way parallel South bound street that is about 2 blocks from the main beachfront street with connecting streets about every block in between. They are alphabetical from North to South. So, the beach is basically a huge grid. The Ashworth mentioned by NextStopis would be one block North of A street.

Traffic in the beach is usually stop & go, especially between 6-10PM and all day on week ends if it's sunny. Check your dates with the Chamber of Commerce schedule as there are quite a few events in the summer, some of which they limit traffic which makes it really difficult to drive but it's great people watching. :)

I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn this past July. It gas a nice little bar and indoor/outdoor restaurant. It's pretty retro with old fashion key for your room, AC window unit and no elevator, but clean and extremely friendly!!! Directly across from the beach and right by the casino/ ballroom. Great venue to see a concert, but it's only an arcade not a real casino in case you were expecting different. I loved it here and can't wait to go back again
