Best Hotel on Beach for Family?

We are planning our first trip to Hampton Beach and would like a nice hotel on the beach. I notice that there are no chaing hotels to choose from so I am unsure where the best place to stay would be.. It would be nice to be in walking distance of most attractions.

Any recommendations?

Well I have a few good ones for you to choose. The very best best Inn to stay at in my honest opinion is called the "D.W. Oceanside Inn" & it's located at 365 Ocean Boulevard. It's perfect for singles or couples to stay here. When you see it online you'll know what I mean, in fact, online doesn't even give it justice, it's absolutely beautiful inside & quite a fabulous breakfast they serve too so remember this one if you are interested in staying at a really wonderful Inn located along Ocean Boulevard, directly across the road from Hampton Beach. It's not a bad walk down to the boulevard either as you will be north of the Ashworth By The Sea Hotel & Resort if you end up staying here. It's actually the nicer part of the beach too and since the fire they had along Ocean Boulevard this past February, you will have a detour any way around that whole block, by the time you arrive it'll be a parking lot most likely. They have the trucks and bull dozers right now at the beach getting rid of the debris and all the burnt wood, I'm talking about the area located across from the Ashworth By The Sea Resort, just south of it heading toward the Casino:

The 2nd interesting place that I would look in to at the beach these days is the Ashworth By The Sea Hotel & Resort. It's been renovated lately quite a bit and now under new management (owners). It's always been quite a hotel at the beach, but now it's even better (& nicer) than it ever was. Go to their site to see what you think. It's located at 295 Ocean Boulevard:

There's the Hampton House Hotel located about a few yards north from the Ashworth that's popular for a lot of people too. The Blue Jay Motel is down in back at 186 Ashworth Avenue, down back means the road next to and in back of the Ocean Boulevard. You'd have to walk up a side street to get to the beach if you stayed here. A LOT of good reviews on this Blue Jay Motel and I drove by it millions of times and never paid any attention to it, well it's the cutest little place and only a 2 minute walk up the side street to the main beach:

Then there's the Seaside Condo's located right smack in the center of the boulevard at 12 G Street near the boardwalk that you could check out.

Hope this helps, that's my two cents this year with where to stay along Hampton Beach....wherever you stay have a wonderful time, there's a lot to do, even duck boat tours or trolley tours, whale watches, shows at the Casino may be, the hatch shell is being renovated but it'll be open this summer I'm guessing for entertainment purposes. Have fun!

The fire in February upset SO many seacoast residents when it happened. They lost several businesses along Ocean Boulevard. One of them was this Mrs. Mitchell's Gift Shop that was the cutest place to bring toddler's and the little ones for the hermit crabs and do dads in there gift shop. Then there was the Happy Hampton Arcade that's gone (but not forgotten) Several of my family members worked there during the summer, so it was pretty upsetting for a lot of people when this fire happened. The whole block of businesses will most likely be a parking lot this summer as you walk by it. Depending on where you stay, you will probably be walking by it any way as it's part of the "boardwalk" along Ocean Boulevard.

You're right, there's no chain hotels or motels along the beach, they're all individually owned and for the most part the majority of them are seasonal. The Ashworth is a year round facility though.

Again, have a great time!

The beauty of staying here is you can drive up the coast from here to North Hampton to see the beautiful mansions (something like Newport, RI) then continue up to see the Marriott's Wentworth By The Sea Resort in Newcastle, NH. It's quite a resort, from there you can have a drink on their veranda or even a cup of coffee then drive further along that same road along the coast for downtown Portsmouth. Time it right & you'll see the seals out along the ocean right before sunset. Bring your camera, there's spots along the coast to stop and park for pictures and to just chill out.

Another place you could go to is up at Rye Beach to the Fuller Gardens, it's a turn of the century Estate Botanical garden and June is when it's breathtakingly gorgeous for a few months:

You know what amazes me about you is that I have been reading posts from you all over the forum and trip advisor hotel sites, for someone that hates Hampton Beach so much you seem to know alot about the hotels and local businesses in my opinion you should not be allowed to post things anywhere. All you are doing is spreading rumors and bringing local businesses down with your negative posts, it would be a relief to me not to read another one of your phony posts EVER again. Have a great summer. I know I will at Hampton Beach...

My guess is that Dani owns a hotel at Hampton and NoMo had some bad things to say about it.

Dani - NOMo speaks the truth. What else do you need to know. After reading any of NoMo's posts, you should be able to pick that out.

One should also pick out by reading NoMo's posts that she rarely says a bad word about any of the places she discusses.

Yo Dani3739,

I would like you to show me on the Trip Advisor site where I "supposedly" wrote up a review on a Hampton Beach Motel/Hotel??? You will have to point it out to me because under my "contributions" there's not one review of a Hampton Beach hotel OR a motel on there written up by me. May be you can help us out here and point it out.

The beauty of this Trip Advisor site is that it's every ones candid opinions on here. If you have a problem with my candid opinions, then hey, don't read them, it's as simple as that.

I obviously have SOME fans here; thanks kindly to Wpsaukee & Dav4844 for defending my candid opinions! It's certainly appreciated because I never saw anything like this one before, have you? lol.

Life IS Still Good, Isn't It.

Have a great day just the same, I know I will be having a great one, the sun's out AND the sky is blue!
