Edgewater E-Center Chairs A Joke

Went to the Michael McDonald concert at the new Edgewater E-Center last evening. Michael and his band were awesome. We had 2nd row center seats about 25 feet from McDonald. All that was great. The chairs, however, were obviously made for people with super-narrow butts, and they were lined up touching each other.. I actually have never seen seats that narrow. We were squashed together in a way I have never experienced....literally forced body to body tightly against the people next to you. Lots of people were openly complaining. We, along with most others we heard, walked out with aching backs. We will certainly never return to the E-Center until they change their chairs. Just wanted to warn you all before you consider buying tickets.

Grif,

Time for a truce, among us wide-bodied cheeseheads.

Sounds like the seats on "Air-Tran"

or the seats I had a few years ago in Laughlin to see the Beach Boys at the "then" Flamingo.

Where is the E-Center? Only familiar with the showroom by the south bar..

The E-Center is a huge quonset style, canvas-sided arena. I am guessing that it seats over 2,000 peoople. It is located just south of the Regency parking lot. It was completed about a month or so ago.

Thanks for sharing that info...I was planning on treating myself for my birthday to seeing Ted Nugent on 7 /3 but with my big -a## butt don't want to take his song STRANGLEHOLD literally. How can you get into a musical groove if you throw out your cyatic nerve? Or concentrate on the music when you're sitting next to someone who''s been downing cerveza in 108 degrees afternoon and sitting that close for 2 hrs? Then if my arthritis flares up by being crunched for 2 hrs, I'd have to creep down afterwards to the Colorado Belle's Jacuzzi and find a "seat " there amongst all the illegal alien children huddled together before I venture up to my $106 dollar hotel room that I normally pay $16 for for on a Sunday night. . Sorry Ted...wanted to really see you real BAD...but after finding out about $10 pic n save seating, I'll wait til ya come to Vegas,. even if I have to pay a little more!!

With your comment about illegal children, I can see why you want to see Nugent. And I agree, with those narrow seats, you might want to stay up in Vegas.

Actually... I agree with some of his view on illegals coming up-but its way to late in our century to correct it now the floodgates are opened -but back to the E Center and the Colorado Belle - I mentioned the Jacuzzi because on several occasions there are many of those individuals wearing dirty street attire with many children Jumping in the Jacuzzi and most recently, this children knocked over my 72 yr old mom in the pool...no apology-no english-different customs-no parents watching either-over by Jacuzzi drinking beer. Then they closed down pool because-well, you know what one of those kids did in it. Security does not check to see if these people are staying there or tell parents not to have very young children in the Jacuzzi . If I paid over $100 on 7/3 to see Ted Nugent, I would expect some room to sit and enJoy some great guitar and a clean and safe pool area.

So you knew they were illegal by the way they dressed? Hmmm That's a skill I have yet not mastered. Sorry about your mom, but I once had a kid jump from the edge of the River Palms pool right into the middle of my back. He looked Irish to me. Kids do crazy things, and a lot of parents, no matter what ethnicity, don't pay much attention.

I was at the Nugent show on the 3rd. It was a great show, both musically and politically. The chair spacing was fine. Too bad Grif thinks people should only think like him. With his recent comments about Harry Reid, anti-non-union jobs, pro-illegal stance, it doesn't surprise me that he's manged to throw a political jab into every recent non-political thread on this board. Ted would call him a sheep and rightly so.

Hey Grif, how 'bout in the future you answer questions as the Laughlin Guru and leave your socialist agenda in your purse?

LaughlinNewGu...... Nice photo! Really; you actually fit in those chairs?

"With his recent comments about Harry Reid, anti-non-union jobs, pro-illegal stance" First of all, Reid is the person responsible for getting us the new solar plant! (You have a problem with that?) Second, when did I ever comment on non-union jobs (your nose is growing). And third, when did I ever make a pro-illegal comment. (Nose is growing longer) If you are going to tell lies, my friend, go to another site.
