Flamingo, without question. Nicer property, nicer rooms, better location, not as many children. Of course, if you're bringing children with you, then it's a different story.

You're definitely going to get different opinions on this. I prefer Excalibur. Great place to stay! Both hotels are just as crowded, depending on when you'll be there. True, you MAY see more kids at Excalibur. Flamingo is more centrally located if that's important to you.

As far as which one is newer, Excalibur is definitely a newer property, but I don't know if Flamingo has done any remodeling to their rooms.

My friend has stayed at both properties and prefers the Flamingo.

We have never stayed at the Excaliber. Our room two weeks ago at Flamingo was remodeled 2004 and there are many rooms that were just remodeled. The location is perfect.

I would say flamingo, because of its location, and the fact that I never win in Excalibur, so I have stopped going there.

The kids........they don't bother me much, cuz they are not wondering in the gaming areas

I just stayed at the Flamingo last week for what was supposed to be 3 nights. We checked out after the first night because we could not get any service at all on the Casino floor (and it was not busy at the time). Found the coffee and pastries very expensive at the Flamingo. Room was fine- overlooking the Flamingo/pool area. Didn't care for the stains on the elevator doors. Didn't like the disgusting garage the girl at the front desk recommend we use since it is closer to the elevator.

I have always received very good service at the Excalibur. The rooms are OK. The Excalibur has a nice poker room. Coffee is reasonable. Love the hot crispy creme donuts. I like that end of the strip.

Oh yeah, if you're driving, the parking is horrible at the Flamingo!

I disagree that the parking at the Flamingo is horrible. To the contrary, we found it to be very easy. We pulled into the driveway, turned into the garage, easily found spots near the door, walked through the door and into the hotel. It was so easy in fact that we even ran down from our room a couple of times just to grab something out of the car that we wanted but didn't need all that badly. This was just a couple of weeks ago so I'm sure it hasn't changed that much.

As for which one to stay at, I have only stayed at the Flamingo and I was happy with our stay there. The hotel is perfectly located and it's very easy to navigate as it's not that big. Staff were friendly. Check-in and out was very easy. The hotel though is fairly basic on the inside (basic architecture, nothing really exiciting). However the grounds are beautiful with many birds, waterfalls, etc.

I've heard from many sources that the food at excalibur buffet is terrible.
