Tacos El Gordo

Going to Vegas next week and planned on walking to Tacos El Gordo from the Venetian until we found out they have closed their location on the North end of the Strip. Any suggestions on a place for Mexican food that isn't ridiculously expensive that is close to the Strip?

Their location on Charleston is close to the strip but probably too far to walk. Quick easy cab ride if you are inclined. Other than Javiers is is much different that the Taco Stand that Tacos El Gordo is there isn't really anything good on the Strip.

They have a location on Charleston and Bruce, no location Downtown that I'm aware of but the location I'm talking about is close.

Hands down Casa Don Juan has wonderful Mexican food and the best margaritas! 1204 S. Main St. Las Vegas - see reviews here on TA.

Aw, this makes me sad. The new location is kind of annoying for me to get to now. It was the only Mexican food on the strip that I've genuinely enjoyed and felt that it was authentic.

I know this isn't Mexican (South American) - but there is an arepas place down near the Stratosphere that sounds amazing. I'm going next time for sure. If you're not aware, the best description I can give of arepas is that they are like an open-faced taco on a piece of flatbread and are also delicious. It's called Viva Las Arepas I think, I had the link open on Yelp but they never seem to copy properly onto TA threads.
