I don't think I've ever let being solo determine my choice of hotel in Vegas. Having said that, when I'm with my wife we tend to stay at nicer hotels but that's more down to her expensive tastes!

If you provide dates and ballpark per night budget you'll get good recommendations. A little about you would be helpful too as there's not much point in suggesting a quieter hotel with an older clientele if you're in your 20s and looking to party.

Anywhere you'd like, really. Everyone stays everywhere in Las Vegas. You'll find singles, couples, families, groups of friends all at the same hotel.

When are you visiting and what's your budget per night?

Welcome to the TA Las Vegas forum :-)

Presuming it's your first visit, I suggest you stay on the Strip

What time of year for you propose visiting? There's a distinct summer pool season, with a vibrant pool party atmosphere at several hotels. At that time of year, hotels to consider include MGM, Flamingo and Cosmopolitan- of these, Flamingo is a budget option

Other reasonably priced establishments include NYNY, Tropicana, PH, Paris, TI....

Bon voyage :-)

If you can structure your dates so you are staying Sun-Thurs nights your hotel budget will go farther, since Fri/Sat nights are typically much more expensive.

For me, on a solo trip I wouldn't care about the room that much, certainly not it's size. I would concentrate more on the casino and the casual dining options.

If you feel the same, I might suggest NYNY or possibly TI. I would choose TI for it's casino and proximity to poker rooms that I enjoy, but NYNY has better casual dining.

Im solo most trips . I just goto play poker and slots . Ive never thought of a certain hotel just cos im solo . I always look for the best deal in the best hotel I can afford that trip and ive NOT stayed in a bad room yet and that's me staying in around 16 different hotels on and off the strip and some many times over like Luxor which is my favourite .

I do like big fancy rooms with lots of mod cons etc . Love a strip view too so just ask when you check in . Ive never done the " $20 trick " cos to me it isn't a trick . If someone gives me a great upgrade then they will be rewarded .

Also look at the code websites like smartervegas.com and mycheapvegas.com . This can sometimes save you a small fortune . It does me as I like to stay in 2 - 3 different hotels each visit just to break it up and by doing so I can save the most amount of money playing with the dates as opposed to satying in one place within on date range . Hope this all made sense ( it did in my head LOL )

anyway enjoy your trip when it comes .
