Hotel with kids Jan 15-19

I'm in the process of planning a trip to Vegas Jan 15-19th. I've been a few times but never with kids. Vegas would not be my first choice for a "kid" vacation but my 15 year old son is going to school near there. I mentioned going and now my sister, brother in law and 5 year old niece want to join us. I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons neither of which I think are appropriate for this trip. If it's possible to get atwo bedroom suite or two adjoining rooms that would be my preference. I'd like to spend less than $400. We will have a rental car, casinos are not a factor at all.

Also, if you have any suggestions on shows that are family friendly please share.

Thanks in advance

$400 a night or $400 for the whole 4 nights? Do you want to be close to the Strip or does it not matter?

$400 a night. Don't have to be on the strip

Check out the Elara or Signature as they have rooms with kitchens and multiple bedroom suites.

Embassy Suites that are off strip and they have breakfast included and offer two bedroom suites.

We saw the family friendly show "V: The Ultimate Variety Show" at Planet Hollywood a few months ago and everybody in our group liked it. It's a variety show with jugglers, comedy, magicians and other types of acts. Here's a link to the website which also includes a short video on what to expect:

I would recommend the Signature as well - you can request adjoining rooms, but they also have suites with bedrooms (1 and 2 bedroom, I think). I requested an adjoining room for a trip with my brother and his wife and they were fantastic about accommodating the request even though our stay was over NYE last year and I didn't expect them to honor the request. I noticed recently the Signature had some decent deals on rooms so with 2 rooms you should be in under $400/ night.

As for shows, the kids might really enjoy the medieval feast at Excalibur. And there's the aquarium at Mandalay Bay

You might like some of the nicer time-share places.

Marriott Grand Chateau in particular.

Marriott Grand Chateau would be perfect. Also Carriage House next door is another place to consider.

Have fun

If the goal is to have a great trip for the kids,I think I would choose Excalibur. It has a great food court,is on the strip,is connected to the Luxor which the kids would really have fun seeing, has the Tournament of Kings show which kids would love,is in a good area for kids what with the M&M shop,Hershey place,NYNY roller coaster,Rain Forest Café at MGM,Coke shop, etc. Staying on the strip would sure be handier for everyone. The Popovich Pet Comedy show at Planet Hollywood is fun for all ages. Have fun
