I haven't been to Fremont Street very much. Last time I went after the mystere show at TI. I told the person who helps get a taxi "Frelemont Street please " the guy then tells the taxi driver "Fremont Street experience" I was thinking oh I'm such a tourist for just saying Fremont Street but glad that the taxi helper knew where I wanted to go. We get in the cab, taxi driver is fine, when we get close though he asks me "so where would you liked to be dropped off" and I say umm just want to walk around Fremont Street. He seems confused, not sure where to drop me off. He is looking and looking then he stops somewhere like right on the sidewalk for Fremont Street and says "ok get out quick I'm not supposed to park here" that was fine, we were where we wanted to be but I felt like some how there was some kind of disconnect about where I wanted to go and where this taxi should drop us off.
Questions : Next time do I tell the cab driver I want to go to a specific hotel on Fremont Street instead of just saying Fremont Street? Or was the taxi driver not experienced?
Random question about Fremont Street, what are the "hours" of fun. Meaning crowds, bands etc. I'm guessing during the day it's a ghost town.
