Depends on what you're playing. From various reports and my experiences, table games are better comped at MLife (along with better BJ rules) while slots are better comped at CET properties.

Boyd gaming (Orleans, Gold Coast) does a nice job with their comp program if you're going off strip and I'd say it's very comparable to MLife and CET. It just happens that MLIFE and CET own the majority of the strip.

I have been to Vegas yearly for the last few years and we always stayed at CET properties. I am a slot player and all i ever got back from them was $5 freeplay. Last year we changed to M Life properties and i ended up getting all the resort fees comped, meals that we had put on the room and $50 slot play. Same happened this year apart from $30 in slot play so would not be interested in going back to CET properties!

I switched from TR to mlife about three years ago and now I stay and gamble almost exclusively at mlife properties (mirage, Bellagio, Aria). In July I was comped 3 of 4 nights in at 2br penthouse at the Mirage.

My belief is the slots at any CET casino are much tighter than any MGM casino. Its also easy to see that MGM rooms are much nicer than many of the CET Casinos. Yes it may be easy to get comped rooms in CET's lower casinos, but they cost you more money you lost in the slots.

Total Rewards is better for upfront comps, but mLife is better for back-end comps.

The Backstage Pass at Hard Rock is pretty good. Got a few offers from them throughout this year, unfortunately, they didn't coincide with any of my trips.

We also were CET veterans....however over the past 3 trips, mlife and the Wynn have given us great comps.

We now have host for both places and they have been terrific about getting us room comps, meals gaming and tickets to shows...

It's impossible to make a recommendation without knowing what games you play and your average bet/ coin in. MLife is more generous with free food, but it's easier to get free rooms through CET Total Rewards. If you're a low rolling slots player, Total Rewards is usually the best bet. Serious blackjack players don't typically play at CET casinos because of the rules.

Mlife seems to have better rfb for slot play, however since we visit more than 3 days at a time, our play is divided between both MLife and CET properties. That way, we get comps that cover the entire trip staying at both properties. Just play at the property that you enjoy most, as well as the resort you prefer. You can't go wrong, whichever you choose.
