Still trying to figure out how to pronounce Gansevoort. Kind of wondering if it will be referred to by a letter such as the D, or Ti, or maybe it will be simply be called the G Spot.

I'm trying to start a groundswell for the original Dutch pronunciation - Han-se-fort.

But, seeing as no-one pronounces "Fontainebleu" in the French style then I think I'm onto a loser.

I'm sure many people will be pronouncing it "Bill's" for awhile. :-)

I know the French like to pronounce it with a long o, but in Vegas we prefer "crum-bling-I-sore"

It's gan-suh-vort, although a lot of people working on it seem to be pronouncing it more like gan-see-vort.

If the question was serious, then Bacchanal is pronounced "ba-shan-elle", which a french inflection if you've got the guile.
