waterpark at the hotel?

Hi!

Which Vegas hotel has the best waterpark? (You know, with slides and stuff!)

Not sure that any hotel on the strip actually has what would be considered a "waterpark". Mandalay Bay and MGM has the biggest pool areas with lazy river. Someone else may know of someplace off strip that may have what you are looking for.

Flamingo has a few slides but that's it. MB has a nice wave pool and lazy rver but no slides.

I liked MGM more than MB, life guards seemed more uptight at MB, they only let one wave out at a time in the wave pool, probably because everybody's drunk. Both complexes are very nice, I heard flamingo is really nice to.

If your taking kids, not really the place to be, alot of drinking.

There is a new water park opening up Memorial Day (May 27). Looks to have lots of slides. Not associated with a hotel, though.

Circus Circus is developing a water park. Not sure of their timetable, though.

WetandWild is a locals park. It's far from the strip. The OP sounds like someone who may have current Vegas confused with the 1990's version.

You want a place for a family-kids summer vacation think Disney or San Diego.

Hi and thank you for your replies!

I'll probably check ouy Flamingo then :-) We're only staying one evening, and a bit into the next day before driving back towards LA - so the rest of the holiday will be around LA and of course a trip to Sea World:-) I'm just looking for a cool hotel where our 12-year old boy can have a blast. And me ;-)

The big Flamingo pool (where the waterslides are) is now adults only.. 21+. :(

Your best bet would be either Mandalay Bay or MGM or possiby Monte Carlo. Good luck!

2 places that you may want to check out, other than earlier recommendations are Excalibur and Cancun Resort. Excalibur has 2 slides and is pretty fun. Cancun Resort is about 2-3 miles south of Mandalay Bay and has slides as well. You would probably like that better as the slides are a little better, IMO.

Most Vegas pools aren't open in the evenings. They typically close at 5:00 or 6:00 PM.
