Flamingo or Treasure Island??

I'm currently booked at Flamingo from March 8-12 using my total rewards discounts, but for just a little more money I see I could get into Treasure Island. Any suggestions? Been to Flamingo several times, but never Treasure Island.

For me, I would choose TI, if you are talking about regular rooms. They are nicer, cleaner and the bed is super comfy compared to the ones I've had in the flamingo. I do really like those GO rooms though, I find them fun!

Remember to account for the resort fee at TI. If they are truly close in price I would choose TI just to have the variety, and check out another property.

FlyfromMI makes a great point. MGM resorts, which TI is one, charge resort fees of $18 per day on top of the advertised room price. The Flamingo is owned by Harrahs and they do not have resort fees. I assume the resort fee is the same at all MGM resorts, but make sure to add that on to the advertised price. A $90 room is actually going to be $108 per night.

The resort fee at TI is actually $25 plus tax per night - around $28.

That said, the room we had was very nice, large corner unit with a large bathroom. I have never stayed at the Flamingo so I can't compare, but we were happy with TI.

Right, forgot about the resort fee. It is actually 25/night at TI, so as others have stated, make sure to factor this in to see if the price difference is worth it to you.

Brandon...MGM Resorts International (MGM Mirage at the time) sold TI a few years back.

Thanks for the update. I didn't realize they sold it off. I guess I haven't been paying enough attention!

Yeah, I did see the resort fee would cost me about $100 for the trip. I'm willing to pay the $100 if it's worth it. So, I guess my question would be, should I book the room at TI...or if I'm willing to pay $100 more, should I just upgrade my room at Flamingo? I've enjoyed Flamingo in the past...just curious if it's worth it to try TI. I'm somewhat of a creature of habit...

I have stayed at both recently, and while I enjoy both I would choose TI currently. Room is a bit nicer, on par with Go Room. My concern would be construction noise for Linq in the Flamingo area. Also rooms at Flamingo even GO rooms can be hit or miss depending on the tower you get, TI has a more modern feel to the whole casino. Flamingo is a better overall location and pool, but since you are going in March it wont matter much. TI pool is fine and Flamingo will only have one open anyways. Go with TI it is fun to stay in vegas from a different perspective.

TI is a much better property all around.
