Cheap places on the strip with kitchenette?

We are driving to Vegas this November (2012) from Calgary, AB. I have been looking for something very cheap but in a great location (as in short walking distance to the coolest stuff) We are in the 24-27 age group, looking to party most of the time. As long as its clean, we really only need a place to rest our heads. There will be four of us but we need three beds. We are looking for somewhere with a kitchenette to save on cost. Can anyone help me out?

Any other tips would be awesome! Looking to get tattoos while we are there, and anything we can check out that's free would be good to know! Never been!

You are almost certainly going to end up with 2 rooms at an economy mid-strip hotel and give up on the kitchenette. Because this will be your best and cheapest option. You can't afford 1 room (suite) with 3 beds, once you start looking you'll realize that.

Your other option is to stay in a condo/timeshare so you have your kitcenette. But you will be lucky if you get two beds and a couch. But this will cost you more than 2 rooms at IP, Bally's, Flamingo, or Harrahs.

But if you stay in a timeshare/condo this means you will have to leave for everything. If you stay at a hotel/casino not only do you have the casino there, but you also get 12 restaurants, 6 bars, a lounge and showroom, a Strabucksm etc. All there when you get off the elevator. And after all, isn't that why you are going to Las Vegas?

What you're looking for is pretty hard to find on or close to the Strip. You need to define what "very cheap" means to you and provide your dates to get better advice.

But if all you're looking for is a place to sleep between all your partying, I'd think twice about the kitchenette part of your plans. If you're in town midweek, you could probably get two rooms at Imperial Palace for less than you'll pay for condo style accommodation and you can eat at cheap places with the money you'd save, leaving more time for having fun... :-)

Agree with Kinca. Also to get the best recommendations give a price range for what cheap means to you. You can eat pretty cheap in Vegas if u arent fussy without needing to do the kitchenette

Also know that you're likely to pay more for your tattoo than your room. Prices at the Strip and "name" tattoo parlors are exorbitant for what you get.

Jockey Club

Polo Towers

Elara

Vdara

Trump

Tuscany ( just off the strip )

Platinum ( just off the strip )

Desert Rose ( just off the strip )

All of the above have kitchenetts. Getting 3 beds in one room may prove to be more of a challenge.

The Elara does have 1,2,3, and 4 bedrooms suites, but they are not cheap.

You may want to rethink the tatoo thing. You are coming to Vegas to be on vaca, do you really want to have a fresh tatoo? Not so good. Get a tat at home if you are determined to get one.

There is a hotel off the strip behind Bally's called Summers Bay Resort that has a full kitchen - it is walking distance from the strip

In the interests of accuracy, the link posted by ConcreteJunglegirl isn't the official website of Summer Bay Resort. i4vegas.com is a third party booking site.

Well, if you don't mind off strip, we've stayed at the Wyndham on Harmon and liked it.
