How much does players card help?

Ok, I'm a low limit player. I usually play $10 hands of Blackjack. I know that at some hotels, they say the minimum to count on your card is $20+ hands, yet everyone says to always use your card.

If I gamble for 3 days ($10 hands) at say the Bellagio, will it even get noticed on my card, or should I not even bother?

At the Bellagio, probably not. Their table minimums are sometimes more than $10. I think its $25 a hand to get rated for the table games at most strip casinos. If you aren't willing to do that, your best bet is to rack up points on the slots and VP.

I'm not saying that I can even begin to understand the comp/rating systems. From my experience the best place to get some comps for players in your league is NYNY. You can get rated there at 10/hand but across the way at MGM they won't until you hit 25. Go figure. i would think that the B would be closer or tighter to MGM.

They will not take your card otherwise.

It never hurts to get the card.. what is the worst that they will do ...Say no?

Comps in Vegas?

I guess they do exist, but I think collecting the great free souviner is the point. I play penny slots, expect the casino's to give me nothing, and I have a great time.

Now to further confuse the mix, I play at a pair of small casino's in Mississippi about every six weeks for three days, penny slots is all we play. Every month! I mean every month they give us comped rooms for the duration of our stay, meal comps, cash comps, so on and so forth.

I guess another way of asking it is:

Do the Casinos really only rate you at $25 and up, or are they just trying to cut down on the rating the pit boss has to do? Sounds like they are for real about the $25.

I think you will have better luck being rated for $10 at the older casinos. I have a card for the Flamingo and will play in the range of $10 - $25 and they rate me for all my play. It definitely helps us get lower room rates and they do throw in some meals for free. They track the amount and the time you play to figure out the rewards. Good luck with your gambling and have a great trip.

Even if you don't get something comped for your current trip, you may benefit later-case in point: we stayed at Flamingo last spring, I used my card on all the meager slot gambling I did, hubby rarely used his on his table games. This spring, I got an offer for 2 free nights at Flamingo, hubby did not get the offer. Mind you I didn't lose enough to even qualify for a meal on our last trip, yet they sent me 2 free rooms offer. Don't know why but ain't complaining.
