Best Laid Plans

Have you ever planned to do something special in Vegas and never got around to it?

For the last 3 visits I have been planning on surprising my husband with a day of race car driving but still have not done it!

Is it just me or does Vegas get in the way?

BTW...we are going in two weeks and this time I am going to follow through. Yup.

If I really want to do something, I reserve it in advance.

Another "plan" that we have had for years is to rent a car and leave the strip for the day. But haven't done the one either...lol.

I've been thinking of doing the Neon Boneyard for the past few trips but I'm like Goldilocks, I think it will be either too hot or too cold. Upcoming November trip might have had perfect weather but then I found out they have no restrooms while they are under construction, plus rental car rates were too high so we're not getting a car. Someday it will all click.

Yes...every time I go to LV there is something on my list of "might do if time" that I don't get to. The city is constantly adding something new, so there is never a shortage of stuff to see or do.

That's why my main plans are to drink and gamble. Always successful at that.

I am the queen of best laid plans. I have this huge vision of me going to the Fireside Lounge to hang out for hours and write, inspired by the neon, but I always seem to get tripped up by trying to leave the casino.

I find that if it is something that is a "must do", make the reservations ahead of time, and work your Vegas schedule around the "must do" list.

You could most likely get a much better rate on a rental car if you make the reservation before you leave, then its all set, just pick up the car and off you go, even if it is only for a day trip.

Perhaps you could arrange for the car and the race car experience and your day trip for all in one day......whee what fun that would be!
