Just a quick couple of questions re Luxor

Which rooms would you say are best to stay in? Ive requested a standard room in the pyramid but im not sure if the tower rooms would be better? Any advice welcome!

And I also heard that july can be a quiet month in Vegas, is that true? I didnt realise it was going to be so hot at that time of year, but it would be a bit more of a downer if there was nobody there !!!!!

Thanks Guys

With the Pyramid rooms you get a smaller room....but you get to use the inclinator....oooooo!

Vegas is never quiet!

Enjoy your stay. I've stayed at luxor 2 times and find it pleasent especially the spa!

I've stayed in both the Pyramid and Tower rooms and I did not think there was a great deal of difference.

The Tower room had the addition of a bath and the fittings were slightly nicer (but only slightly).

The Pyramid room was still quite big and it was nice to actually stay in the Pyramid itself. However, I would suggest getting a room as high as possible for both the view and avoiding any casino noise!

July rocks, especially if you enjoy spending quality time by the pool. Bring your sunscreen lotion!

As for pyramid vs. tower rooms, I stayed in the Pyramid and would do so again if I stayed at Luxor. It's a novel experience apart from the usual cookie-cutter towers all other hotels have.

I agree with previous poster about asking for a higher floor. I would also ask for a room close to the elevator (oops, inclinator) as it can be a hike if you're in one of the more distant rooms. Have fun!

I've had more fun in June and July than any other time of year...and it is never dead in Vegas. Pick a hotel with a great pool. I have never seen the Luxor pool, but if you are looking at staying at that end of the strip, consider Mandalay Bay for a few extra $$. Its a fabulous property and their pool is as good as any on the strip.

I went to Vegas in late June/early July and am going at the same time this summer.... it is a GREAT time in my opinion. I can handle the heat, and there were definitely crowds, but you can get good deals at that time as well.
