The $559 figure was stolen (Don't tell my mom, ok?) from VHMs Stupid Vegas facts post from last week. In the same post the average stay is 3.7 days. So, the "Average" visitor loses about $150 on an average day.

Knowing the average amount lost per visitor is of no real value. Only you know how much YOU can afford to lose. Decide on that figure then divide it by the number of days you are away to determine your daily figure.

Keith makes a very good point.

His post gets my vote for the gold star post of the day.

Well, thanks VegasMan.

As a matter of fact my "withdrawal" was at an ATM right outside my bank (actually inside, bad neighborhood, don't ask).

At any rate, I couldn't hold myself to $150/day.

Typical story, got hot on craps, won about $700.

Waiting on girlfriend to come down after shower for dinner, hanging around $1 slot. WTF, put in $100. Nothing.

etc. etc.

Lucky I had a black left in my pocket to pay for dinner.

So let that be a lesson to all of you.

Go up to the room and put some of your winnings in the safe.

The casino will still be there when you come back.
