Question on attire at end of June

We are from Florida, another hot state, and shorts are acceptable attire year round, day or evening. Is this the case in Vegas? I think the nicest place that we will be eating is probably Delmonico. Will my husband need a sports coat for that, or would dockers and a collared shirt do? Being from a beachy town we're all about casual and comfortable here. We of course will dress for when we see "O", but curious about casual evening dinners and in the casinos in the evenings. Thanks so much.

Leave the jacket at home. He'll be fine in slacks and a polo, or similar shirt. Flip flops, torn jean shorts and a tank top with flowing pit hair won't get you turned away as long as you have room on the credit card. The rest of the time you'll be fine in shorts and a comfortable yet tasteful top.

Despite what some may tell you about dress codes here at restaurants, all that is really required is a wallet. Nightclubs do have dress codes to keep riff raff out, but very few restaurants will at least require tailored shorts, collard shirts, and shoes. So as long as you do not go in cut-off and tee shirt you will be fine any where including shows. Dress in what ever you are comfortable with.
