Silver Strike machines

Anyone who's been lately seen these machines around??

My best friend, and travelling buddy, collects them. We've found them in MGM, NYNY, Monte Carlo, TI, and some others.

If you've seen one, or more, lately, please post the location.

Thanks in advance!!

The only casino I don't remember seeing them in was the Western and Gold Spike. They are everywhere. Also a big money maker considering 1/2 the people never cash the tokens in.

Wynn has 2 different machines. A $1 machine and a $5 machine. You win a $10 Silver Strike on the $1 machine and a $25 Silver Strike on the $5 machine.

We also got Silver Strikes from Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Mirage and MGM.

The Palms also has a few Silver Strike machines. One of them is a $1 Triple Pay machine right near the Player's Club booth. If you hit the Silver Strike plus the Triple Pay symbol, you win 3 Silver Strikes.

I saw these machines downtown but don't recall which casino's they were in.

What are the value of the tokens if cashed? Are they real silver?

try this website, www.silverstrikers.com. It is for collectors and it lists where the machines are. There are a lot of collectors out there.

Slots of Fun has two machines giving out 2006 strikes. Mirage still has a machine back by Cravings entrance. TI removed their machine.

What are they worth? Silver is volatile in price, today in the 11.50 range. It hit $50 an ounce in 1980. A strike is stamped .999 and is supposed to be one ounce.

I would say they are presently worth more that the $10 face value..

There are a couple of them at the bottom of the escalator at PH. When you come down the escalator from the mezzanine level (Stomp Out Loud theatre) hook a quick right and they're up against the wall the elevator comes down. Can't miss 'em!

KY, I was just there 2 weeks ago .

If you go downtown for FSE, there are several at 4Q and definitely more in Fremont or BInions.

Just got back yesterday.

We found these machines at the Palms did well on them and we got a couple of Playboy strikes.

Downtown we found them at the California, Freemont and 4 queens.

We did well for the money spent and winning the strikes, came home with 16.
