cirque du Soleil shows

How many Cirque du Soleil shows are there and what is each one like?

Thinking of going to one of them we are in Las Vegas in June.

In LV there is O, Mystere, Ka, Zumanity, the new Wynn show and maybe something else.

Very good show, go if you can.

Actually, Le Reve, the new show at Wynn Las Vegas, is not a cirque du soleil show. However, it is directed by the same genius who directed 'O'. Currently, there is Mystere (treasure island), O (bellagio), KA (MGM Grand) and Zumanity (New York New York). Next year, there is a new one opening at the Mirage that is being co-produced by the remaining Beatles.

I would catch O or Ka, simply because they are permanent shows that you won't be able to see anywhere else. Just don't sit too close to the stage because there is so much going on. O will blow your mind and most likely move you to tears with its beauty. I am watching KA next month and I hear it is astonishing.

There are currently 4 resident shows there:

Mystere - the oldest of them all; still packs in the crowds

O - Cirque's first and only water based show. Quite the spectacle.

Zumanity - Cirque's 18+ sensual show about sexuality.

Ka - Brand new and possibly the most expensive production EVER.

As far as schedules go, access the following link and you'll be able to find detailed information about the shows, including dark dates, promo video clips, and ticket prices. You can also buy tickets online through this page as well.

cirquedusoleil.com/CirqueDuSoleil/en/showsti…

You can also access this page by clicking "Shows & Tickets" at the bottom of any of the pages of this site. (The resident shows are on the right side of the page).

All of the shows are on 5 days a week with shows at 7:30pm and 10:30pm.

Generally, when people reccomend shows for vegas first-timers they recommend Mystere or O.

Mystere is the cheapest of the two. So if you're on a budget you might choose this one. Also, its MUCH easier to get good seats for this one. Mystere is a very action-packed show that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

O is a beautiful show. It sells out every night. Many people say the whole thing feels like a dream.

Zumanity is only for those open-minded about sexuality and willing to see beautiful bodies and very talented people of various persuasions.

Ka officially premiered three months ago and is already getting rave reviews. Its much more plot-oriented than all of the other cirque shows, so it seems more like a huge play with acrobatic acts intertwined in it. It also has some of the most amazing stages in the world.

I hope you have a great time in Vegas! When you return make sure to come back and tell us all about your trip!

I have seen them all and loved them all.

I would recommend Mystere as your first show. Or perhaps Ka. But anything you choose, you will enjoy.

For Zumanity though, make sure you are center stage, and NOT on the side. Best view is center. And I agree with the comfy seating recommended by the last poster.

I just saw Mystere the other night. It was my first show. I don't know if it fully lived up. The acrobatics and performances were interesting, stunning at some points but the music just ruined the show it was sooo bad. I begged my boyfriend to go with me and I had to keep nudging him to keep him awake. I guess I was hoping for a little more. If you will be bothered by what mostly sounds like 80's porn music I don't know if I would go see this. I hope I can drag him out to see O or something else next time maybe he will like it better.

We just got back from Vegas and had a blast. We have been twice, and the first time, we saw Mystere and the second, saw 'O'. I loved them both, for different reasons. Mystere was more ethereal, surreal, elegant. 'O' was more ...active, athletic (think olympic diving crossed with dancing crossed with trapeze crossed with the most beautiful costumes i have seen). Honestly, I seem to love the Cirque show I am with. I don't think you can go wrong at all.
