To whom it may concern:

Got this tip from a friend a week ago. Never thought it would work, but it worked for me and my wife.

Best Western is currently actively and pretty aggressively matching your status with almost any other hotel group. I had a high tier level at a local European hotel group and gave it a try.

Upon becoming a Best Western Rewards member online, I filled out an online form to match my status.

They didn’t ask for any proof (not that I condemn to lying, but they didn’t even check my status with the other hotel group, nor did they ask me any proof).

2 business days later, I received an e-mail that I was a Diamond Select member.

The nice thing is, once you’re just that, you can match pretty easily to Wyndham Resorts. Become a member, fill out the matching form and they will honor the request if you are Best Western Diamond.

They do ask for proof in the application form, I’ve just made a printscreen with my phone on the Best Western app where it states I’m Diamond Select.

3 hours later received confirmation that I was Diamond status with Wyndham.

These things alone give some nice perks, but here comes the main goal:

Caesars matches your status without any problem to Wyndham. I got confirmation immediately and my account was updates a few days later.

Caesars Diamond comes with really nice perks:

- No resort fees, never, in no hotel, are to be paid. They’re always comp

- Some upfront room comps even with no history (I have a few dates in Rio for example where it says comp on some dates)

- Hugely discounted rates for other rooms

- $100 celebration dinner per year per member. You just get the voucher from one of the reward desks at any hotel of them. You can use them in about every on-site restaurant. Google to find the list. Vouchers can be combined (my wife is also Diamond, so we have 2 times $100). You don’t even have to stay at one of their properties.

- 2 show tickets per month per member. Google for the list. Almost any show is possible. Just ask for the voucher at the Reward Desk.

- Various other ‘variable’ perks depending on venue (lounge access, skip-the-line, dedicated check-in, …

Just thought I would share this. Hope anybody can use it.

Nope. Last time I redeemed a free show the agent gave me a sheet with 80% of the choices marked through with a sharpie.

What was left? 4-5 shows I had zero interest in seeing.

I hope they eliminate the status match especially since people LIE and then get benefits to which they are not entitled since they lied to get the match in the first place.

I would rather see CET eliminate perks than have some scammers get them. As far as the "status" match goes I can't believe they have let it go this far. Used to be they would only match status from an actual player's club, now anyone can get it.

All this will do is damage the hotels and their programs because not only will they be hosting tons of scammers who want the benefits without playing a dime, but they will alienate true players like me who >earn< their status and those perks that were designed for gamblers. If a current "earned" Diamond sees that they can get the same benefits without gambling, why wouldn't they?

Also wanted to add that Diamond Select with Best Western which is what Wyndham requires in order to grant a Diamond match, is not the same as "just" Diamond with BW. BW requires a pretty high status level in order to match to Diamond Select so why didn't you just match straight to Wyndham Rewards and bypass the whole BW thing?

Just so you know I tried yesterday what the OP mentioned and I said I was Marriott Titanium Elite level and was upgraded within 2 hours to Best Western Diamond Select. (no proof required)

I have now sent a status match to Wyndham and shown my diamond select card as proof for status match.

Yes Scott but are you planning to >gamble< using your players card or just take advantage of the same benefits actual players get? Just so I know.

I'm surprised CET doesn't require a printout from Wyndham showing that status was earned by room nights stayed and not matched so at least they know they're getting a customer who has some proven loyalty.

DQ I am staying in an Mlife hotel (Aria) but |I plan on gambling and taking advantage of the benefits. My gambling limits would certainly not get me anywhere near that level of card though.

I appreciate in your posts that you do not agree so I am not going to get into a debate what is right or wrong on being able to do this or not. My post was just to advise other forum members that the first stage of 3 and probably the hardest stage had worked for myself very quickly.

I appreciate what you're trying to communicate and I know it's not your fault they have the match policy or the way they perform it. Hope you have a great visit!

DQ, I think it’s a good thing for caesars if it actually works. My better half seen this yesterday, we are both mlife players(gold status) going to Vegas in 2 weeks. Right now we have a stay well grand king comped from the 13th til the 16th, then going to Arizona for 4 days. On the way back have 2 more nights in Vegas before we fly home. We have a fountain view terrace at cosmo booked for those 2 nights.

After seething this yesterday my BH said she’s gonna try it and if it works we are switching or reservations to a suite at cp. also gonna change our hotel bookings for Arizona to a Wyndham hotel.... so now if this is works Wyndham/CET are gonna get 6 nights of hotel stays, 2 days of our action and in return we get our resort fees waved and $100 dining credit... seems like a fair trade.

Now me personally, I wouldn’t do it myself, but if my wife and wants to I’m not gonna stop her.

Zach J, I think that's great! I was referring specifically to the status matchers who post here and straight out say "we aren't going to gamble" but still want all the perks which dilutes them for real players. Have a great trip and win win win!

I was going to stay at MLife properties for my whole stay and give them all my play. Now, I’m considering at least to gamble at any Ceasars property and I might even book a cheap or comp room, just because it’s possible to check out the room/Pools/...

So, whilst ultimately the Diamond was received for free, they’re going to get more action from me now.
