To whom it may concern:
Got this tip from a friend a week ago. Never thought it would work, but it worked for me and my wife.
Best Western is currently actively and pretty aggressively matching your status with almost any other hotel group. I had a high tier level at a local European hotel group and gave it a try.
Upon becoming a Best Western Rewards member online, I filled out an online form to match my status.
They didn’t ask for any proof (not that I condemn to lying, but they didn’t even check my status with the other hotel group, nor did they ask me any proof).
2 business days later, I received an e-mail that I was a Diamond Select member.
The nice thing is, once you’re just that, you can match pretty easily to Wyndham Resorts. Become a member, fill out the matching form and they will honor the request if you are Best Western Diamond.
They do ask for proof in the application form, I’ve just made a printscreen with my phone on the Best Western app where it states I’m Diamond Select.
3 hours later received confirmation that I was Diamond status with Wyndham.
These things alone give some nice perks, but here comes the main goal:
Caesars matches your status without any problem to Wyndham. I got confirmation immediately and my account was updates a few days later.
Caesars Diamond comes with really nice perks:
- No resort fees, never, in no hotel, are to be paid. They’re always comp
- Some upfront room comps even with no history (I have a few dates in Rio for example where it says comp on some dates)
- Hugely discounted rates for other rooms
- $100 celebration dinner per year per member. You just get the voucher from one of the reward desks at any hotel of them. You can use them in about every on-site restaurant. Google to find the list. Vouchers can be combined (my wife is also Diamond, so we have 2 times $100). You don’t even have to stay at one of their properties.
- 2 show tickets per month per member. Google for the list. Almost any show is possible. Just ask for the voucher at the Reward Desk.
- Various other ‘variable’ perks depending on venue (lounge access, skip-the-line, dedicated check-in, …
Just thought I would share this. Hope anybody can use it.
