Not sure about Tropicana, bt of all the ones I've seen in LV, none of them charges for in-room safes.

Usually there is no charge.

But I when I stayed at the Flamingo a year ago, I thought that they were charging a couple of bucks per day ... I might be mistaken.

Most places have in-room safes.

You usually have to put in two quarters, select a four-digit access code, and hide the key somewhere.

The only place I've been to that didn't have in-room safes was Harrah's.

You have to go to the information desk and ask for a safety deposit box.

Secure but a bit of a hassle. But you can still access your cash (if you have any left) credit cards etc. 24/7.
