Casino Show recommendations in South Lake Tahoe Casinos

We will be traveling to South Lake Tahoe in July.

Any casino show recommendations would be greatly appreicated. Also need casual Italian restaurant recommendations. Thanks for the help.

There are just so few casinos I can't imagine needing a recommendation. Harrah's and Harvey's are across the street from each other. Caesars is next door and Horizon a little bit down from that. It's very small. We generally spend as little time as possible in casinos but we did go on a winning streak at a Harrah's blackjack table!

I'm sorry I didn't read the word "show" in your post. July is a popular month so ther might be some extra entertainment but there are not many shows going on like there are in vegas.

Harrah's has the improv where they feature two comedians. The south shore room is where they have the headliners and that cahnges pretty much every week.

Sammy Hagar has the Cabo Wabo Cantina where ther is live music.

I don't suppose the casino shows would be appropriate for kids would they? (7-10 year olds)

What is Sammy Haggar's Cabo Wabo like? Is it like the one in Cabo? We've been to that one, it was fun but super smokey. Do they serve food there also? It was really pricey in Cabo. Just wondering........................

I don't go into casinos because they are too smokey but I thought I'd be able to let you know that for mexican food it seems pricey - $15 -$25 per plate.

Yup that's what it was in Cabo and it was only ok. So all the casinos in Tahoe are smokey too. We have parts of casinos here that are smoke-free and that makes it really enjoyable. I know we plan to stop at them, oh well get the gas mask on. Thanks for your input. Anything else of interest? That's how I met my friend was on the tripadvisor. Look at me now, we're meeting them in Sacramento then they're driving right to the family cabin in Tahoe. We did hook up twice in Cabo. The Cabo forum is the livliest of all the forums and I have another friend who that lives there. Well good night. TTYL

I have to some what disagree about the shows.... Harverys outdoor concerts till the end of August!!!!!!! major concerts. Harrahs has some great line ups as well. Mont blu is offering tons of shows as well (lets not forget the big contract with Show Time sports). The horizion has the magic show with a guy that very famous (work a lot with sig. and roy) that puts on a great show for kids and the night show is even better for adults.

Sure the casinos have smoke in them, I have never been in a casion that did not have smoke in them (tahoe, reno, Vegas, Atlantic city, the big easy, etc) smoke happens! however we do have more smoke free locations in casinos then any other gamble town.

Dont get me wrong! some of the shows can use some change.. But then again Tahoe is more of a place for the great outdoors and that is what they focus on! rather then sitting inside....
