I've a plan to go to west yellowstone at 4th of july. Can anyone tell that whether it is a good time for a one year old baby to go there.

I'm not sure why you think it would be problem taking a baby?

It will be more crowded over the holiday, but I don't think a baby will notice :-) If you're worried about fireworks scaring him/her, there's a ban in place in Madison County because of the high fire danger, so none are being sold here, and as far as I know the usual displays have been cancelled.

If you go in to the park, bring a backpack, stroller or harness. You don't want them getting away from you there. It is perfectly safe on trails, etc, but it isn't a museum with everything behind glass. A darting baby could get into some hot water.
