Embassy Suites at the Plaza--pretty close?

Was just about to book a killer deal at Embassy Suites for our visit to the Plaza next month but then studied the map and now I"m wondering if it's too far from the Plaza to be *really* a Plaza hotel. It's across from St. Luke's Hospital, if that makes a difference; looks like several blocks East. We are travelling with two small children and I'm now wondering if that's too much walking.

Any input?

I loved the room because it was a suite, love the free breakfast and happy hour, just not sure about the location.

Thank you!

It's about a half mile away. If you're pushing kids in the stroller, you should be ok. If their little legs are making the trek, you might hear some grumbling!

Unfortunately it is a bit of a walk for little ones.....

I have heard the Hampton Inn Country Club Plaza is more reasonably priced than most other hotels. It is IN the Plaza.

How long will you be staying? Will you have a rental car?

Enjoy your visit!

If you're getting a good deal here, I'd take it. It's really not that far. You'll walk over a mile when you're on the Plaza, so what's an extra 1/2 mile to get there? The views are great here and they have a free shuttle that will take you down to anywhere you want to go on the Plaza.
