Columbia..........

I will be visiting Columbia on 9/8/12 for a Missouri/Georgia football game. I have never been to Columbia and need help with suggestions as to where to stay. Will be there for three or four days prior to the game and a couple days after so I will also need some suggestions for sight seeing. Thanks for any help.

West of Columbia - Rocheport and Boonville are also close by as places to stay and do sightseeing in the surrounding area.

I have stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Columbia and it was good. I definitely wouldn't suggest the Extended Stay America. We stayed there before and their beds were not at all comfortable. I would definitely make your reservation fairly early, as Columbia hotels seem to book up quickly.

One of my favorite places to go in Columbia is the Rock Bridge Memorial Park.

We have a lot of fun exploring that park. There are several wonderful parks in the area.
