Horseshoe or Roadhouse???

We are going to be in Tunica and cannot make up our minds on a hotel--Horseshoe or Roadhouse. We want to be where we can walk to another casino. Can you help us--which one has the better rooms, food, etc. Thanks!!!

We too are going to be in Tunica in a few months and are looking at these 2 places to stay. I am leaning towards Horseshoe. Hope you get some opinions of those who have been there.

Alrighty much easier typing here. Just FYI I wrote up a long review of our recent trip in the Tunica Resorts forum you may want to check it out. We actually stayed at Harrah's Veranda so I can't speak to the actual rooms at the Horseshoe and Roadhouse but I can speak a bit to the food, gaming, staff etc. The Roadhouse was older, smaller, more "honky-tonky" but I actually enjoyed it more than Horseshoe (but I'm a bit of a country girl.) We had the buffet Saturday night at the Horseshoe and I must admit that it was a total disaster, too many people, not enough food, too many lines. On the other hand we had a nice dinner on Sunday night at The Range at Roadhouse, nice steaks, service was a tiny bit slow but we had the meal comp'd from a pit boss and I enjoyed not eating at the buffet for the first time all weekend. I didn't have any issues with drink service at either place. You can easily walk from Roadhouse to Horseshoe and even Gold Strike-they are all in a little row. So really no matter which one you stay at you can EASILY play at any of the three. With the Roadhouse being a little less busy we found that the table limits stayed the same there all weekend (where at Harrah's and Horseshoe on Saturday nights they went up.)

Hope that helps?

i will be going in nov to tunica

have been there many times and continue to take the about 10 hr drive down. re hotels, we are staying at roadhouse this time for 2 nights. check the website, stay 2 nights during week and save 25%.... we are staying wed/th for 75. bucks. not bad for these real large suite rooms!!!

horshoe has probably better overall rooms , but smaller

depends on what you want. either way, you won't be mad going either way

gambling.... we like roadhouse. smaller and not as crowded

have fun!!!
