Harrahs comps

How hard is it to get buffet comps. I guess it depends on your play though. Who do you see about getting comps.

In Tunica you have to gamble very little to get comped a meal. Resorts has a one dollar buffet. Just remember to get a players card wherever you go. After you've played a couple hours on a 25 cent machine you can probably get comped at most other casinos. Just take your card to the buffet and see. If you're a table player have the dealer ask the pit boss if you can get a comped meal after playing for a while. It's about the easiest place in the U.S. to get a comped meal. Lots of competition in Tunica. A typical buffet in Tunica at Harrah's properties costs less than 1000 reward credits.

I played craps at 3 different casinos last week, The Grand (Harrah's) included. We had 4 trips to the buffet, breakfast and dinner. Total outlay not counting tips was $0.00.

As the LtCol. says, ask the dealer/box man for passes to the buffet after you have been playing a bit. My buy-in was $300, and I was playing with $5 chips.

I believe Harrah's Total Rewards Players card requires 800 points for one breakfast buffet.

We have never paid for a meal or a room in a Tunica casino. The comps are easy and generous. We are Harrahs TR members so do most of our playing at Horseshoe (my fav), Sheraton and the Grand.

Always use a players card.

Players club cards are free and usually available online prior to your arrival or fairly promptly at the club's desk near the lobby. It is even possible to simply give your drivers license to a floorperson who will fill out the minimal paperwork for you while you are shootin craps.

Once you are "in their computer" it is fairly easy to obtain comps and ofcourse you can check your account at various terminals around the casino/hotel.

Often a 'casino host' will handle all details for you but if you play at a craps table the best person to go to is the floor person. The floorperson can flag your account with an incentive-indicator that shows the casino likes your style of play and you can get even more and better comps than one normally might receive.

RFB is the designation for Room Food Beverage. Room Comps for Sunday thru Thursday are ofcourse rather easy to obtain since the casino usually anticipates comping most of these rooms.

Some casinos peg comps at about 15 percent of your "expected value" to the casino. If casinos "tighten up" their comp policy it is a fairly easy matter to go to a different casino. Given Tunicas situation now, I would expect all comps to remain rather easy to obtain.
