Which Casinos to visit

We will be in Biloxi next month for 2 or 3 nights. We are staying at the Beau Rivage and of course will do some gabling there. However, we would love check out a few other Casinos. Besides the Beau, which in your opinion, should be three others where we should gamble. We love ALL kinds of casinos (and do slots and table games), so this is your thoughts we are interested in. Thanks in advance. We have already made a list of restaurants thanks to this great Forum.

This is a difficult question because there are so many casinos here and each one offers something different. I would suggest Golden Nugget (it's new and quite large) which is on the same street as the Beau about a mile east. You may want to go to Hard Rock because it is right next door to the Beau. If you can let us know what you like in a casino we might be better able to answer the question. For instance, do you like large or small, smoking or non smoking, low table stakes, lots of slots, fun restaurants, good buffets, etc.

Thanks Claudia, we will try to two you mentioned. We ask this question for every new city we go to and never tell people our likes. The reason is that we want to experience new thinks and by the locals telling us some of their favorites, we have learned to expand our horizons. Because of the answer to the same question in other cities, we have done things we would not have if I would have expressed what we like. We have discovered MANY NEW likes through this forum.

I would check out the newer, themed casinos. That would be the hard rock, golden nuggett, and margaritaville. The casino hopper is a cheap, convenient way to travel to each casino.

I would research each one (not really THAT many), and visit all that interest you.

If you like a certain type of gambling, then filter, or focus on that, and make a list.

Good luck,

Hunt

To get a handle on what Biloxi is all about, I would suggest you stop in at the Visitors Center. It's about 1 mile west of your hotel. There is a short documentary movie about Biloxi on the second floor that I think you might find interesting. There is no admission fee. You might also enjoy the little "train" that gives you a tour around Biloxi.

Go to Boomtown it is were the locals go. It is next to the IP. No hotel just a two story casino with plenty of places to eat and drink. ALL the drinks are free, At the bars and on the floor.

We enjoy all the casinos mentioned. The top of our casino list is the Palace Casino. Reasons why: not tiny, but not super huge neither; smoke free; a good sports bar; great slots; decent buffet; great food and service at their upscale restaurant of Mignon's; modern well-appointed guest rooms that look out over Back Bay and the long beautiful new bridge that crosses it to Ocean Springs ; and very friendly accommodating hotel employees from the desk to housekeeping. Overall, it's our preference. We do, however, want to try a stay at the new remodeled Golden Nugget one day. The Beau Rivage is really nice as is the Hard Rock. We enjoy all of the casinos on our gambling jaunt of the Miss. Coast when we go down. The smaller casinos such as Treasure Bay and Boomtown (no hotel) are also fun and personal. The Island View Casino in Gulfport which is right next to Biloxi is a nice big casino...huge gaming floor....great buffet....nice rooms. IP Casino is nice also......really, it's hard to complain about any of the casinos; as they each have their own persona which makes it interesting. These are just our experiences.....I don't speak for everyone. Hope you enjoy your stay on our Miss. Coast.
