Need advice on beachfront hotel

We are in our early 50's and are planning to spend a couple of nights in Biloxi within the next few weeks. I believe I have narrowed down our hotel choices to the Hard Rock and the Beau Rivage. My main requirement is a room with a view of the gulf, that is nice and not too shabby. A balcony would be wonderful, but not a make or break. We'd like to have a spa/gym included at the resort and also different restaurant options. We are not big gamblers, but we'd like to play a hand or two of blackjack and maybe some video poker. Any live entertainment would be a real plus, but we aren't expecting much, as we will be staying on a Sunday and Monday nights. I can't find where an indoor pool is an option at either of these resorts, but we'd like one, if it were available. We mainly just want to kick back and relax. We'd like to walk along the beach, although we definitely will not be getting in the water. Does anyone have any recs? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I believe neither have a balcony. We like both hotels-Beau is much more / elegant hotel. Both have great food options. Neither have a indoor pool. Both have very nice out door pools. And either you stay at you can walk back and forth. Live entertainment will be hard to find on a Sunday/Monday. Do go to each websites and check on that. Good luck and have a great time. I would pick the Beau for the WoW factor!

Claudia,

I notice that you continue to promote SeaBreeze Condos as a great choice for those asking for accommodations in Biloxi. While I agree that SeaBreaze is nice, there are many choices in Biloxi and when recommending these condos you should follow TripAdvisor rules of stating that you are affiliated with those condos. Anyone checking the website for those condos will clearly see your name on "contact us". Trip Advisor prohibits self-promotion/advertising your business. Even if your business or property would seem to be an ideal fit for a traveler's needs, you must not recommend it without stating your affiliation. Other forum members may recommend businesses or properties, but as an owner or representative you may not recommend your own business or property.

I am an owner of a condo in the mountains of Colorado (although we have never rented it), and I have often recommended the complex on Trip Advisor. But, I always state that I am an owner (and that I do not rent my unit), and I never recommend any rental/management company or owner affiliated with any of the units. In fact, I don't even know any of the other owners.

You are always very helpful to visitors to the Coast with your information on shuttles, shopping, casinos, etc. and I think everyone appreciates that. Just be sure to let them know when recommending your own condos that you are an owner there and also have one for rent.

Rachel,

The heading of the question is "need advice on BEACHFRONT hotel". I have answered this same question many times and Seabreeze is the ONLY beachfront condo in Biloxi so that is the answer I must give. You say there are "many choices in Biloxi". Not for beachfront! That is why when asking for beachfront condos as an accommodation in Biloxi I give the correct answer. I also recommended Treasure Bay because it has a beach although it is across the street and since the writer said they would like a balcony, Treasure Bay does have balconys facing the water.

When a recommendation is asked about condos in Biloxi and Gulfport, I always to try to include all the condos. When asked for a beachfront, there is only one answer.

I own quite a few different condos both in Biloxi and in Gulfport. Including Legacy towers and several at Seabreeze. I have never and will never promote my own rentals. My profile includes this informtion. I have mentioned that I own condos at Seabreeze before and will try to remember to include this information every time I answer a question about beachfront accommodations, however by doing so, it may seem that I am promoting my own rentals and I have therefore been reluctant to do state this.

Sorry if you are offended, but I was just pointing out the TA rules (as is done here on TA on many posts).

Actually, the question was about "beachfront HOTEL". Seabreeze is NOT a beachfront HOTEL, it is a CONDO. The question specifically asked for hotel, and you chose to recommend condos that you manage (your name is the contact on the website and on the rentals) without mentioning that you are affiliated. This just seems a little promotional, and TA frowns upon this.

I rely on TA for my info when traveling, and I hope to be able to get honest, unbiased opinions from people giving the info in cities I have never been to. I appreciate knowing when someone tells me that they are an owner of the property/restaurant, or a realtor, or some other connection to what they are telling me about. Sometimes it adds credence to what they are talking about, sometimes not. Often times it prompts me to ask more questions. But, I think we should always be upfront about the connections.

BayouAlly, you might want to check out South Beach Hotel and Suites in Biloxi. It is located right on the beach, has balconies, and IS a Hotel and also has suites with kitchens available. This link has a video in the picture gallery where you can see just how close the hotel is to the beach --- it is literally on the beachfront. My high school class (from many years ago at Biloxi High) chose this hotel for our reunion because of the great location and great facilities, but in the end we changed to another hotel because of difficulty blocking off so many rooms a year in advance.
