Ross Dress For Less alternative?

Checked the shopping boards but I need something quite specific that I have no understanding of. My wife loves Ross stores and I usually try to accommodate her when I plan trips but apparently there are none in the Twin Cities. So I'm looking for suggestions that might provide a similar shopping experience. Problem is, as a dedicated non-shopper, I have no idea what she likes about Ross other than the bargains. I do know that she always seems to find dresses that fit her shortish, 56 year old frame and that look smashing on her. We'll be staying in the SW part of the TC area.

Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Herberger's, and Kohl's will likely fit into this category.

Marshall's is literally identical to Ross (which I found out when I went to a Ross in Key West!) Don't go to the one in Downtown, it's scary. There's one at Southdale Mall, which is the closest to where you're staying, or at the Hub strip mall in Richfield. TJMaxx is also comparable.

I would like to update this post to say that the Marshall's in Southdale is now closed. They relocated to a strip mall at 494 and France in a shopping center with Trader Joe's, Michael's and others.
