Goodbye Holiday Inn Metrodome...

For those posters who might suggest a location for visitors, it is worth noting if you drove by the Holiday Inn Metrodome, their signs are all dark tonight. Reason, you ask? The hotel is slated to leave the Holiday Inn system. In fact, go to their property specific website www.metrodome.com and there is no longer mention of Holiday Inn. It appears the official Holiday Inn website is momentarily still listing the hotel, but you can no longer make a reservation for any night.

Obviously, the building is still there but be alerted it is no longer a Holiday Inn hotel...

Very interesting - here's some more information on new ownership and hotel operations (contained in their liquor license filing with the City of Minneapolis). Looks like an independent.

You can also check out the MSP Business Journal. It will be independent for now while the building gets gutted.
