Cabin with a boat dock

We would love to bring our boat to traverse and stay for a week. Does anyone know of a cabin rental that also has a boat dock? It does not need to be in Traverse. Any surrounding area is fine.

Not many areas of Lake Michigan have boat docks available, so you're pretty much looking at inland lakes. Luckily, there are hundreds up North! Is the boating more important to you, or being close to Traverse City? If being close to TC is your priority, there are quite a few small lakes around the area...but they're quite small...maybe a few hundred acres. Torch Lake is the nearest large lake, and it's beautiful, though expensive. Check out listings on VRBO.com or maybe cool places...also craigs list. If boating is your main priority, I'd suggest the Inland Waterway, consisting of Pickerel Lake, Crooked Lake, Crooked River, Burt Lake, Indian River, Mullett Lake and Cheboygan river, ultimately ending at Lake Huron...an over 40 mile stretch of the best boating in the midwest. Mullett and Burt are the two largest lakes on the chain, but you'd be about an hour an a half from TC. Crooked Lake is nice and very close to Petoskey, which is another very cool, fun up north town.

OR, if you're not dead set (pardon the pun) on a cabin, there are some harbor vacation rentals in the various lake michigan beachtowns..... new buffalo and south haven (preferred) come to mind.

browse around these websites for more info:
