I would like some input on this resort. Thanks so much.
I have not stayed at the hotel, but have been to the casino. It is your typical small Indian casino. Mostly slots, a few table games (craps table closed during the day) and a poor selection of Video Poker. It is over a mile from the main strip in St. Ignace, so if you plan on hitting any other restaurants, you will probably want to drive.
I have stayed here several times. I've found the rooms clean and large and reasonably priced. Nice view of the water from the backside of the casino and hotel.
It has a sit down restaurant and a separate coffee shop. Checkin will get you some free play ($10 I think) on special machines.
I would disagree a litte with tev in that the casino is a bit larger than some of the tribal casinos I have visited. I do agree that video poker selections are limited. Like many casinos these days there are a lot of one-cent machines but of course if you want to play multiple lines and activate special features you have to play more than few cents per spin.
I think if I recall properly table minimums were $5.
$5 tables are hard to come by. You are more likely to have $10.
Be aware that the Kewadin Lakefront Inn Is NOT connected to the Kewadin Casino. The Lakefront Inn is about 3 miles away from the casino on the main road of St Ignace. If you are looking to stay at the Casino in St Ignace then look for the Kewadin Shores Casino & Hotel.
Wow...Doggy's right....my bad. I was referring to the casino hotel, not the lakefront....good catch by Doggy
