Club Morocco Beach Resort and Residential Estates

We visited the place last April 18 to 20. Located in Bo. Cawag, Subic, it is approximately 15-20 km away from Subic Free Port. It is within the Club Morocco Estates at the foot of a hilly terrain by the sea. It is a fantastic location, if and when it is finally developed. However, like most of the travelers what matters most is today! After passing thru SCTEX (a breakthrough in travel experience) we reach a road towards a Subic shipyard. We passed stretches of rough roads and uphill roads to reach the hotel. We have reserved one and a half Villa by buying membership promotions thru one of the marketing arm of the hotel (Teletech). Unfortunately this marketing arm was not efficient because we were not able to get the half villa and to make it worse we only learned about it when we arrived and was advised by the hotel front desk ( we were informed by Teletech about a month ago that the reservations are all confirmed by the Hotel-whew!), so ended up getting a hotel room instead. At the lobby you will find out that there is no one to help us unload our baggages. No one approached us besides there was nobody to call. The room that was given to us has no cable decoder (they told us that because we only booked on that day they cannot provide us one),but they told us that they will charge us with the same rates they are charging to rooms with complete amenities (great!). We were not also provided towels. We noticed that the tiles and its wood parquets are faded. The CR door has defective knobs and locks (my daughter was locked up inside but manage to somehow open it). The Airconditioning unit is cool but it seem there was a bird living inside, because there was a chirping sound everytime the air swing comes up.The fire exits are passable but has obstructions that are not ideal to fire situations. I was not able see any fire hydrants or fire extinguishers accesible to firefighters. The lights in the parking lots are always turned off. The Villa itself has its own problems. Defective telephones and cable decoders. The restaurant, if you look forward to an extended vacation in this hotel(if you decide to come)better reconsider, because the menu is limited and no flexibility is being offered, chances are the food you ordered the day before will be the same menu you will find in your plate the next day. There is no other restaurant near the place. The pool is good during daytime but not in the evening because it is poorly lighted. Their pool bar sells no chichrias, to the dismay of the kids. Tennis court is unusable.Their bowling scoring machine is defective. Electric power is on and off. To top it all their beach is unusable, too. The water is muddy! You can see that they are still in the process of developing the beach. We also recommend to their management to give their staff the proper training in dealing with customers and to give their utmost service to clients who have come so far only to treated unfairly. They call us valued customers but they cant walk their talk! Action will move us forward! In a scale of 10 we gave the hotel and their staff a score of 4! Simply told, dont travel this far just to swim in a swimming pool! Oh Brother!!!
