hi everyone,
am thinking of goint to the matruh area this mid of april 2010..Can anyone advise whether jaz crystal resort is good or not and places of interest nearby....
Fino
crystal resort is beautiful was in there just yesterday, you will not be disapppaointed . All 3 Jaz hotels are to the highest of standards. there are many trips out including Cairo t see to Pyramids etc
hi is the cyrstal better than the oriental dose it have a in house doctor as if nothing around for miles what if you get sick is there much do do at night
Hi, I have just put a small review on this forum. There is a Doctor available. There is not a lot to do at night, fortunately we made some really good friends and so were able to have some good times just sitting in the bar after dinner, incidentally, due to the Volcano in Iceland, as there were no new arrivals during our second week there were only sixteen of us left in the entire hotel and we had no problems keeping ourselves amused, (our age range was early twenties to quite elderly).
hi my man wanted to go to the almaza only i like the look of the crystal as some post say the almaza is loud and busy what was the weather like only i cant find anything on it how hot dose it get in june im so glad you had a nice time it all looks fab
I would definitely favour the Crystal over Al Maza Bay, It's in the center of the three adjoining hotels ( all are about 50metres apart so not far ) and you can go to either of the others anyway and use the their facilities, but the Cyrstal is the nicest. The weather was warm when we were there and can only get hotter.
thank you for your reply im going to the crystal in june was there a dress code at nite for men long trouser jeans e c t
Hi
The Jaz Almaza wasn't at all noisy and busy and we enjoyed our week there. There is a doctor available too. I don't think you could go wrong with whichever Jaz hotel of the three you choose. You can use the facilities of any but not the AI package.
Not much to do in the area, few trips available but have heard varying comments when we stayed there. My husband did the desert quad biking/dune buggies which included a camel ride and meeting the Bedouin people which he really enjoyed. Few people got sick after the overnight trip to Cairo and apparently the shopping trip to Mersa Matruh was scary as they're not used to tourists.
Hello,
How much was the Quad biking? We want to do this one. Is there any other trips that were mentioned as being good. How was the weather?
Thanks
