Please help! Best place to stay for families?

We will be in Michigan for a weeklong baseball tourny in July in Battle Creek. What is the best place to stay for families?- must be clean, newer, with kitchen, pool, convenient to stores and restaurants, under $150. I'm thinking of Staybridge Suites, anyone have any insight? Is this a safe area? How far is Kalamazoo to Battle Creek??? Thanks for any help!

K-zoo to Battle Creek is about 25-40 minutes depending on traffic and the exact parts of the cities you are referring to. I have not heard of Staybridge suites sorry. There used to be a Holiday Inn in Kzoo right off the stadium drive exit that would be good for kids. I don't know if it is still a Holiday Inn or not. Battle Creek also has a lot of hotels but I've never stayed at one.

Staybridge Suites looks like are located off Stadium on the west side. I think I would look more to the east side and you could be 5 to 10 miles closer to Battle Creek. There are several hotels at Portage Rd and I-94. The airport is located there and I think you'd find several like I know there is a Hampton Inn (Hilton chain).

Also look at Sprinkle Rd and I-94 where Wings Stadium is located. I'm pretty sure there is a Fairfield by Marriott. I would just do a search of the major chains and look for those locations.
