Lake and staying for Coast Guard week....
I've researched and have random questions please.
BIKE PATH TO GRAND HAVEN FROM SPRING LAKE
I've read mixed reviews about being able to bike from Spring Lake to Grand Haven. I know there's a bike path and many have said we should be able to bike from Sl to Grand Haven but others have said there's a really busy highway to cross and [implied] not safe for kids....Is there a crossing point or what do we do when we get to this highway? My kids are 11,9,7.
BEACH AT GRAND HAVEN
I was talking to my friend who's going to Holland this summer because she was disappointed in the beach and water at Grand Haven...I've mostly read that it's nice...is there an area that's better? Or did she just have an 'off' experience. She said the water was murky and the sand wasn't as nice. We went to Ludington last summer and LOVED it [we camped at the state park].
what dunes are the best close by? My kids loved climbing and rolling down the dunes...don't really need the dune buggy thing unless it's 'the bomb'....Silver Lake? Back to Ludington? Other? Sleeping Bears is probably too far.
I'm really excited. Already bought tix to see the Grand City Skiers and have the list of Coast Guard activities we want to do. Woo Hoo.
My must visit restaurants:
Old Boys Brewhouse
Anything I'm missing? Is there an ice cream shop? Day trip not to be missed? Thanks again!
