Sunday night Lions game

Hi. We're hoping to go to the Sunday night Lions game in a few weeks. We've been to Ford Field before, but never a night game, so I have a couple questions.

~ We usually walk back to our hotel (probably in the Greektown area). Is this ok to do after a night game, so probably around midnight? I'm assuming there will be lots of people around with the game ending, but probably not the whole way to Greektown? And if I should get an Uber or something, do you think I'll even be able to after a game with it being so crowded?

~ Does anyone know what time the gates open for night games?

~ We are getting Club level seats. I think I read somewhere that Club seats can get in earlier, but I can't find that anywhere. Does anyone happen to know? Or any other benefits of Club that I don't know about?

~ Will restaurants and bars in the Greektown area stay open later because of the game? The few places I looked up closed around 12 or 1 since it's Sunday night.

Thank you! #OnePride

Gates will open 2 hours before the game. There will be lots of people walking. Parking lots a scattered all around the Stadium, You should be just fine.

It is only a few blocks to greektown. You would likely wait longer for an Uber vs just walking. Bars will likely stay open as long as they have customers to justify it -or 2AM. Casino will always serve until 2:00.

I've only been in club once. Food was fancier with prices to match. Not much difference otherwise. Eat outside the stadium to save a small fortune.

You will be fine. I have done that walk many times. Some locals might try to sell you stuff but have never felt unsafe. Not sure about a night game, but there are free buses to local restaurants in the area. We caught the one for Fishbones as it right in Greektown area - just make sure you tip the driver. Have a great time!

I didn't know the casino wouid serve until 2am. Perfect! That's something we can do after the game, too.

We mainly are getting Club seats because my husband is really tall and we're hoping maybe he'll be more comfortable. We're planning to get dinner outside the stadium before the game. We'll probably get a prezel or something at the game, and I'll get a drink so I can keep the cup. I have them from each game we went to, lol.

Thanks! :)

We got there as soon as the doors opened, and we were one of the first people in. We were the first in line at the Club entrance, and we only got there at like 5:45. I tweeted a picture with #OnePride and won sideline passes!!! it was great! :D

Just wish we would have won...

The walk home was fine, and the walk from Ford Field to Greektown was a lot shorter than I remembered, and was maybe 5 minutes.

And just an FYI, Club section 226 does not have the nice Club seats. They are the small metal blue ones, and I was really disappointed. I didn't go look, but I assume section 235 is the same.
